Very soon, the physical 3D concept works that architects use to showcase their buildings and landscapes could be a thing of the past with the introduction with this technology.
Should the display become large enough, no longer will labour have to be used to build a physical miniature replica of future buildings, labour will now be invested onto a design computer where designs will be made digitally, possibly saving time, manpower, and resources that would have normally been invested to build an actual physical replica.

This reminds me very much of a kind of hologram made in the 1980′s. It was called a multiplex hologram and it was made from movie film shot of an object spinning on a turntable.
